SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER
Our Client, an Oil and Gas Operator is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer. This is an initial 12 Month contract role (Limited Company or PAYE) and is based in Aberdeen.
Scope of Work:
The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for the delivery of assigned projects in terms of scope, cost, schedule, and quality across client assets. This is a role for a competent project management individual who has thorough knowledge and experience in delivering brownfield projects. The role will require an individual who with a proactive and pragmatic approach, and who can collaborate and work alongside a diverse internal and external stakeholder group. Effective communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, as well as demonstrable delivery expertise are required to be able to manage and respond to issues, constraints, conflicting perspectives, and ambiguity.
Scope of Service:
Services to be supported during the duration of the contract are detailed below. A requirement to undertake additional services shall be mutually agreed by way of contract amendment:
Responsible for various projects and modifications, from kick-off to close-out for the enhancement and ongoing operational readiness of assigned client Asset
Ensure that the projects achieve fit for purpose solutions in a safe, environmentally sound, cost-effective, and timely manner
Ensure that projects are executed in accordance with the client’s OMS and Management of Change Process.
Ensure projects & activities align with the client’s planning gate criteria
Management of the nominated contractors and any other specialist or specific contract utilised for delivering the planned programme of work
Ensure technical compliance of all modifications against legislation, standards, specifications and the asset performance standards
Active participation, promotion and development of the client’s Safety and Environment policies
Collaboration with the onshore construction and commissioning focal points and the Offshore Construction Superintendent
Active participation in the continuous improvement of the Projects Team to best support the client’s business
Risk management in accordance with OMS Procedures
Key Experience, Skills and Attributes
An experienced Project Engineer with a demonstrable history of delivering brownfield projects
Strong practical knowledge of engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction and commissioning
Knowledge of risk and assurance management principles, including decision and risk analysis
Project management experience within, or on behalf of, both a client organisation and EPC contractor is desirable
An industry recognised project management qualification is desirable but not essential
Ability to engage across engineering functions, TA’s, and support contractors and vendors to coordinate and manage technical issues.
