Senior Completion Engineer

Our Oil & Gas Operating Client are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Completion Engineer for a temporary contract in the UK. This is a hybrid role based in Aberdeen. The role and its responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: -

• Responsible for well abandonment design and ensuring the safe and efficient execution of decommissioning operations
• Planning completion and intervention aspects for well abandonment projects
• Ensures projects are planned in full compliance with corporate policies, standards, procedures and guidelines and relevant regulatory requirements and are executed safely and efficiently.
• Preparation of abandonment programmes.
• Participates in the operational support duty rota and provides operational cover as required.
• Applies appropriate techniques and processes to drive performance through benchmarking and data analysis.
• Demonstrates a challenging and innovative approach, to ensure cost-effective, safe and environmentally acceptable engineering solutions
• Ensures appropriate peer reviews, risk assessments and assurance reviews are held for each well project with actions closed out accordingly.
• Interfaces effectively with other teams e.g. subsurface, projects, supply chain, finance to safely and successfully deliver the project.
• Contributes to the required time and cost estimates and performance tracking for each project phase.
• Supports the contractor management process by developing highly positive relationships with contractors and suppliers. Ensures contractor delivery against KPIs/scorecards.
• Responsible for the capture and close-out of lessons learnt and analysis of NPT events, and for the preparation and submission of end of well reports
