Our renowned Oil & Gas Operating Client are currently seeking a highly experienced

OIM - Interventions for a long-term contract in the UK. This is an offshore rotational position. The role and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: -

Production Operations

Reports To: -Offshore Operations Supervisor

Location:Offshore

Contract: - Temporary (PAYE) tax status

Start: - April 2026

Duration: - 12 months

Rotation: - 2 offshore / 3 onshore

To lead a multi-disciplined team of skilled technicians and support trades to achieve maintenance/project targets for NUI platforms in the UK Gas Fields in line with an agreed plan and unplanned reinstatement operations.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Safe Systems of Work documentation to ensure safe production of gas within a hazardous environment
  • Supervise Production Operations Technicians, promote teamwork and ensure all operators are competent to carry out the duties expected of them within the team to the best effect to ensure the safe operation of a full range of process plant and equipment for gas production in line with daily nominations.
  • To be constantly aware of the complex operational status to ensure safe and efficient operation of the plant
  • Be aware of all planned work within their group areas, the safety precautions required and its effect upon protective systems and production availability to minimise risk to personnel working on the plant
  • To perform emergency duties when required and maintain full understanding of installation emergency procedures
  • Ensure the continuous development of Work Management Excellence by building a culture of improvement and embedding it into day-to-day activities through active engagement and training
  • Check and authorise mechanical isolations/de-isolations, prepare De-commissioning and Commissioning procedures for compliance with Safe Systems of Work and Integrated Management System
  • Operate systems and equipment under their control with reference to Process Operator Guidelines (POGS/SOP’s/NRO’s) and in accordance with approved procedures to ensure safe and efficient operation of the process in compliance with legislative and company requirements
  • Familiar with the Company’s Leadership Expectations - clearly demonstrates their own capability in line with these
  • Lives by the Company’s safety principles and is passionate about having an incident-free workplace
  • Builds and leads a high-performing team accountable for team performance and delivery as well as their wellbeing and development
  • Leads and instils technical and professional excellence, ensuring capabilities remain in line with industry/discipline/function development and best practice

Key Technical Skills and Competencies

  • Understands the health, safety, environmental and associated legal requirements (Management of Major Emergencies and OIM Regs Courses) that are relevant to the job role and ensure the team’s compliance with these.
  • Help the team to understand and actively promote issues regarding health, safety and the environment.
  • Conducts all activities in a safe and effective manner and raises safety and environmental issues immediately and in line with corporate policy
  • Carries out duties in a way that maximises value and minimises waste and risk
  • Readily accepts accountability
  • Continuously develops ways of working by seeking feedback from colleagues and key stakeholders
  • Complies with project management disciplines, effectively utilises knowledge databases and actively participates in project reviews
  • Demonstrates a sound understanding of engineering principles and practical application.

  • Proven ability to interact effectively at all levels and encourage a team ethos across core crew and subcontractors
  • Team leadership experience in an offshore environment or complex process plant operation
  • The demonstration of effective interpersonal and communication skills are essential to effectively manage the team
  • In-depth knowledge of Hydrocarbon production/processing operations gained through several years of broad experience within the Oil and Gas Industry

MIST, Offshore Medical and Survival

Education

B/TEC or equivalent in a relevant subject as a minimum is essential to provide the under-pinning knowledge dealing with the technical issues that arise.

Candidates must have The Right to Work in the UK as no sponsorship is available.
