LEARNING ADVISER - EARLY CAREERS

Our client, a Major Oil and Gas Operator is seeking a Learning Advisor for Early Careers. This is an initial 12 Month PAYE contract role based in London with a hybrid working system in place.

Purpose of Role:

To manage delivery of the client’s corporate administered early careers talent schemes including, but not limited to, the Graduate Programme, Internships, Career Ready Programme and Apprenticeships

Critical Responsibilities:

Ensure all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and client Procedures

Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:

Support Early Careers Lead and Lead Recruiter with recruitment fairs and assessment centres to promote the client talent scheme opportunities.

Own the end-to-end planning and delivery of the annual graduate event: including induction and onboarding of new graduates, mid-program engagement and development, and end-of-program graduation activities. Ensure these events provide meaningful networking opportunities, exposure to senior leadership, and targeted learning experiences for the graduate community

Work with key stakeholders to ensure clear, targeted and blended development frameworks are in place for scheme participants.

Take full ownership of graduate rotation planning, applying strong discipline knowledge to work in collaboration with Discipline Leads and the client’s Development Forums, providing guidance and support to deliver sometimes complex, non-routine solutions to best meet the graduates’ development needs.

Maintain records of participants’ progress in line with their agreed programme framework, ensuring sufficient support is in place for successful scheme completion.

Source and provide opportunities for talent scheme participants to get exposure to key stakeholders and activities, while fostering global connectivity through regular virtual interactions.

Deliver and contribute to HR projects with some decision-making authority, working with internal and external stakeholders to deliver to expectations

Create an effective feedback method for all the client’s Early Careers development activities and use this feedback to implement continuous improvements, developing or revising processes as required

Share knowledge and act as an advisor and support to Early Career participants.

Create metrics to report on progress against agreed measures.

Hold decision authority for pre-agreed areas within the Early Careers budget

Any other reasonable and relevant duties as required

Critical Skills, Qualifications, Experience, etc.:

Demonstrable experience working in Learning & Development or Talent Management

Strong planning and organisation skills

Demonstrable problem-solving skills

Basic level project management experience

Experience of managing confidential and sensitive personal data with high integrity

Attention to detail

Able to work to challenging targets and deadlines and to deliver when under pressure whilst remaining calm and professional.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
